World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft World of Warcraft is that game that we play! Now this is a quick post to express my love for a video game named World of Warcraft, it is a fantasy MMORPG that has been around for over a decade and has over seven million people playing the game. I was playing this game was I was only 13 years old and at the time my writing was pretty basic and I will say that the game really helped me with my vocabulary because they used very strange and new words to a 13 year old... But since it was part of the story line I played along with it and secretly learned new words. I am not saying that most people should learn better vocabulary through playing video games, I am just saying if it wasn't for the fact that I played World of Warcraft I would have never learned the words that I did. If you want to further you own vocabulary you might as start reading a lot of books or make the dictionary/thesaurus your best friend, there are easier ways for some but personally

Editing

Editing What is an edit? Editing is when you go through your work and try to fix all spelling mistakes, grammar and punctuation, I mean sounds really simple but it is a long grueling process that I can not imagine anyone enjoying. I mean I feel like I am pointing out my mistakes and fixing them because my writing wasn't good enough in the first place. But what are the most important things when it comes editing... There is no simple answers to that question to be honest, I know my biggest problem is past, present, future tense and the difference between their, there or they're and then when I forget to write Women instead of Woman. Remember while correcting these mistakes to not alter your work too often, I mean I am the last person to comment because I always rewrite my work and it is often after two years so the essence of the story may be a little far away and forgotten. So while your rewriting remember your weaknesses and don't forget tha

Dreams can Inspire

Dreams can Inspire Ocean of consciousness By Jacob Davies Dreams inspire my books, Yes it is true, when it comes to figuring out how to get ideas for new books I turned to my dreams and plucked the stories that I enjoyed because I felt like I was living inside of the dream and it wasn't that hard to put it into a book plan... That's if you can even remember the dream after you wake up, because I knew a lot of people forget as soon as they wake... MIND BLANK. For example when I was ten I used to love spy shows and Scooby-doo, which I understand aren't really close to each other... But I did have a dream about being part of a spy team who were trapped inside of a business building in Japan and we were under attack by ghosts, we had to stop them and save the people inside of the building before their soul got sucked out. It was a bit of a scary dream for me back then, but it was the dream that help me come up with Silent Lies and inspired the entire series...

Positive Attitude

Positive Attitudes   Kitty Eyes by Jacob Davies A Positive Attitude... Now this might seem like a simple thing talking about having a natural positive while around people, but you would be surprised especially in the literary world that there isn't a positive vibe or common feeling that is expressed. I mean the stereotype of a writer is someone who chain smokes, drinks, over dramatic and can be a lot to take in and I guess you could say with torture artists that they have gained these stereotypes due to the past. But we are the future and I hope that one day our artist/writer stereotype will be positive, that we will be seen as vibrant people that are full of life... Because that is what I see when I see artists and maybe a feel dark pasts. There are ways to help you get a new positive attitude or keep your positive attitude and some of them are simple and others take a little more effort because they are more lifestyle choices... You can do smaller things

WHO? WHAT? WHEN? WHY? Jacob Davies, Brand Ambassador for Hunt Creative I would like to start of by introducing myself and saying hello, I am Jacob Davies an aspiring writer, photographer and just overall person who enjoys every part of art. I have always been a person who has enjoyed the arts, from my school years in acting and focusing on crafty arts and then growing up to be more interested in photography and graphic art, which I think was an evolution for me. Especially because as I got older I learned that a computer is a multifacinate invention... What? Well it comes to what you can expect... The easy answer is a lot of art forms. I personally am into creative writing and am trying to keep it alive, because I am aware that the written word is not as popular as it has been in the past and I am not going to restrict myself and try to explore different writing styles. I do have a comfort zone in genre and type, but I want to look into things such as; musical
